REZA A LENDA DE QUE O ALBUM FOI FEITO COM A PARTICIPAÇÃO DOS MEMBROS DO DEEP PURPLE, JOHN LORD, RITCHIE BLACKMORE E IAN PAICE, O QUE FOI NEGADO POR ELES!! PORÉM, A SONORIDADE ANDA MUITO PERTO DO QUE O PURPLE FAZIA NOS TEMPOS DE "SHADES OF DEEP PURPLE", O QUE, APESAR DE EU NÃO TER PORQUE NÃO ACREDITAR NELES, SÓ AUMENTA ESSA POSSIBILIDADE!! OUTRA CONTROVÉRSIA É SE ERAM DA ALEMANHA OU REINO UNIDO!! TODAS AS REFERÊNCIAS REMETEM AO REINO UNIDO, MAS...!! O CERTO É QUE NÃO HÁ MUITAS INFORMAÇÕES SOBRE OS CARAS E QUE ESSE FOI O ÚNICO REGISTRO EM NOME DA BANDA!! MAS APESAR DAS DÚVIDAS O QUE IMPORTA MESMO É O SOM!! E A SONORIDADE DO ALBUM TEM UM BELÍSIMO TRABALHO DE ORGAN HAMMOND, PIROTECNIAS E DISTORÇÕES DE GUITARRAS WHA WHA E VOCAIS PSICODÉLICOS!! QUANTO A MUSICA, É BLUES ROCK COM ALTA DOSE DA PSICODELIA!! VENENO RARO, OBSCURO E ALTAMENTE RECOMENDADO!!
Amazing how much controversy there is surrounding this record! Deep Purple members as session men? The sound is sure close enough to make it believable. But they deny it! So why not believe them? It's not like they had any problem copping to session work once in a while Green Bullfrog . But it's also not as if there weren't a multitude of admirers who could very easily have duplicated Deep Purple riffs for this album, especially since DP was becoming a hot commodity around the time of this album's release, which, incidentally has many more people saying 1969 than '8. Hell, not many can even agree on where they were from - U.K. or Germany. My references all claim the U.K. As for the music, it's incredibly consistent hard blues rock with strong psych influences.

oh boy, just listen to the German accent of the vocalist throughout, but especially on "Turn Turn". This is the Hamburg studio Mafia consisting of members of The Rattles, The Tonics and The German Bonds. More or less the same crew who were responsible for lots of exploito-cheapo-albums like "Bokaj Retsiem" etc. The German release on Europa Rec. was later licenced to Marble arch in UK. Lolly Pope
